Transforming Dementia Care in Ontario: System Recommendations for 2025

Ontario’s dementia care system is uncoordinated, costly, and unprepared for the rising demand. With care costs exceeding $30 billion annually and wait times stretching into years, urgent action is needed. New disease-modifying therapies offer hope, but Ontario must invest in early diagnosis, coordinated care, and community supports to be ready. The expert members of the ODCA believe we can transform dementia care with proactive solutions that improve outcomes for individuals, families, and the healthcare system.
